Help for you and your family
Last updated: October 15, 2026
If you're struggling, you're welcome here. The Feed is for adults aged 18 and older. It is part of MindLoop for iPhone version 1.1.0 and later. You can ask for help without posting publicly. Email mindloop@cachepile.io even if you do not have an account.
What do you need?
Something on the Feed worries me. Choose the option that fits; you can use more than one.
- I want MindLoop to check it → Report a concern. Ask us to check content or an account.
- I want distance from someone → Block someone. Limit what you and another person see from each other; blocking does not replace a report.
- I think a decision was wrong → Ask for a review. Challenge a decision or check.
- I want help for myself or a child → Support for you and your family. Find guidance for asking for help and supporting a child.
Report a concern
Report a post or comment: open its three-dot menu, choose Report and select the reason that best fits. On iPhone, Something else requires a short note before you can send; notes for other reasons are optional. Send the report when you are ready. To report the account, choose the account option in the report sheet. You do not need your own Feed handle to report. You can choose Also block if you want distance too. Do not include details about yourself that we do not need to understand the report.
If you cannot report in the app: email mindloop@cachepile.io. This works for parents, guardians and anyone without an account, and when you cannot enter the Feed or have reached the app's limit of 20 reports a day. When you reach the limit, the app shows when you can report in the app again and offers to email us instead; there is no limit by email. Give the handle, what happened, and enough information to find the item. If you know its link or identifier, include it. A description and the time you saw it can help. Do not send a copy of a sexual image of a child. For intimate-image reports, choose Report an intimate image in the report sheet, or use these declarations.
After a report: A report using Someone might be in danger, Harassment or bullying, or Sexual or graphic content takes a published post or comment off the Feed for review. Three new reports from different people since the last human review also trigger a hold. A hold is a pause while a person decides, not a finding that the writer broke a rule. The writer sees a message saying the content is waiting for review or being checked. We never tell the writer who reported it. Reporting an account does not by itself remove all its content.
A person reviews every report, usually within 24 hours.
On iPhone, when we've decided, you'll see the outcome in Activity. The writer is not told who you are. An item found to break the rules can stay removed; an item held for review can return if it is allowed. Reports and complaints explains the process.
Block someone
Block someone: use Block in the three-dot menu on their post, comment or author page, then confirm. The other person does not get a "you were blocked" notice. Their posts and comments are hidden from you, yours are hidden from them, and interactions on each other's posts stop. Other people may still see the content. A push notification already delivered to a device is not recalled.
Undo a block: go to Profile → Blocked accounts and choose Unblock for that person. Copies of their posts removed from your library do not automatically return after unblocking. A saved copy can remain until the app next successfully checks it; blocking is not an instant wipe of every copy.
Take a break: you can leave the Feed and use your own library. You do not need to reply to someone who is upsetting you.
Ask for a review
Ask for a decision to be reviewed: for your hidden post, go to Feed → Your posts and choose Ask us to look again on that post. On iPhone, tap Send in the sheet that opens. There is no explanation field in this post appeal. Email mindloop@cachepile.io if you want to add information about why the post should be allowed; identify the post so we can find it. For your hidden comment, choose Ask us to look again on the comment. On iPhone, if your posting and commenting are paused, the ban screen offers Ask us to look again once per ban. Each hidden item or ban accepts one in-app appeal. If a screen is unavailable, email mindloop@cachepile.io.
We aim to decide appeals within 7 days. The item or pause either goes back or stays, and you'll see the result in the app.
If your post or comment is waiting for a check: a posting hold is different from a takedown and has no appeal button. Choose Think we got this wrong? Email us on the post in Your posts, or on your comment, to tell us why it should appear. If the app stopped what you tried to share and showed a support screen, use Think our automatic check got this wrong? Tell us on that screen, or email us.
If an age check is wrong: check the birthday on your Apple Account (Settings → your name → Personal Information); it sets the age range Apple shares. For a child's account, a parent or guardian can update the birthday by signing in to that account on the web. Then tap Check again. Email us if you need help or disagree with an account restriction. Child safety explains the age checks. Reports and complaints also covers complaints about how MindLoop meets its safety duties. An appeal does not remove your legal rights.
Support for you and your family
Crisis resources
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services now.
MindLoop is a self-help app, not medical care or an emergency response service. You do not have to publish your experience to ask for help. If you use MindLoop on iPhone, Profile → Get support lists support options.
For parents and guardians: the Feed is for adults aged 18 and older. It contains public affirmations and comments, checked by automation before publication. Clear submissions can appear without a person reading them; flags are held, and self-harm flags open a support screen. Checks can miss harmful material or stop something harmless. There are no private messages or photo/video uploads. You can contact us without an account and ask about content, an age check, a restriction or MindLoop's own handling of safety.
For parents making a report: tell us you are helping a child, identify the content or account and explain the concern. Share only details needed to understand it; do not publish the child's private details in a comment. You can ask a trusted adult to help with the email.
In the app, Profile → Help for you and your family opens this guide, and Profile → Reports and complaints opens our reporting policy.
